Behind the Mixer – Meet Robin

Working Around the World – My Journey as a Service Technician at MIXACO
My name is Robin, and I’ve been part of the MIXACO team for two and a half years. As an industrial mechanic and service technician, I’m on the job wherever our systems are being installed, commissioned, or maintained. No two days are alike, and that’s exactly what makes my work so special to me.
Precision as the foundation
I am a reliable and solution-oriented person who enjoys getting things done. Teamwork is important to me, but I also work very independently and in a structured manner. New challenges are particularly motivating for me.
Before joining MIXACO, I worked as a machinist. That’s where I learned how important it is to work with precision and attention to detail. My experience in metalworking still helps me today with installations, repairs, and service calls. Especially in the service sector, it’s crucial to stay flexible and keep a cool head, even in stressful situations.

From the workshop to the world
What drew me to MIXACO back then was the variety and the opportunity to work internationally. I wanted more than just workshop work. The chance not only to build systems but also to install and commission them at customer sites around the world was the deciding factor for me.
Today, installing and commissioning our systems is just as much a part of my daily routine as performing maintenance, service calls, or repairs directly on-site at the customer’s location. I also assist with internal development and optimization efforts. I particularly enjoy working on projects where you can see the finished result at the end and the system is running successfully.
International projects, lasting impressions
No two projects are alike. Different requirements, new environments, and diverse cultures make my work varied and interesting. I especially remember the installation projects in the United States and China. These assignments were technically challenging and also provided valuable personal experience.
I find it rewarding when a system works flawlessly after we’ve finished our work and the customer is satisfied. New challenges and working as part of a team give me extra energy.

Balance in nature and within the team
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. To unwind, I love going fishing. The peace and quiet of nature helps me clear my head and recharge my batteries.
I’m also a member of a bowling club where camaraderie and fun are the main priorities. The combination of being outdoors, focusing, and working as a team provides the perfect balance to my often intense workday.
Part of a strong team
For me, being part of the MIXACO team means working on exciting international projects, taking on responsibility, and collaborating to deliver successful solutions. We work together as a team, support one another, and pull together—no matter where in the world we happen to be.
