Sven describes himself as calm and level-headed, yet also ambitious and clearly solution-oriented. This combination suits his role at MIXACO well. He approaches tasks in a structured manner, maintains a clear overview even in new or challenging situations, and familiarizes himself with topics with a high level of personal dedication.
Sven has been part of the electrical design team at MIXACO since January 1, 2026. Even though he has only been with the company for a relatively short time, his contributions already demonstrate how important reliability, precision, and technical expertise are in this field. For him, the focus is not just on the actual execution, but on understanding the entire process. From the initial planning stage to the finished system.
The Road to MIXACO
Before joining MIXACO, Sven earned his technician’s certification through night school. Prior to that, he worked for a year and a half as an electrical engineering instructor at the training workshop. These experiences not only provided him with technical knowledge but also gave him a good sense of how to work in a structured manner and understand technical concepts.
He first learned about MIXACO from a current colleague. In addition to the new professional challenge, the deciding factor in his decision was, above all, the combination of a comfortable company size, clear structures, and flat hierarchies. He particularly remembers the appreciation he experienced even during the application process. Precisely because the decision to make another career change wasn’t a given for him, this openness and support were important factors.
Electrical Design from Start to Finish
In his current role, Sven supports the control panel builders throughout the entire electrical development process. His work begins with the design of the control panel, which is then manufactured by the control panel builder. During this phase, he maintains close communication with all parties involved, inspects the finished product upon delivery, and ensures that the control panel is ready for the next steps in the process. He also serves as the point of contact for technical questions throughout the entire process. Finally, the circuit diagrams are revised and provided to the customer in their final form.
It is precisely this versatility that makes his work particularly exciting. Since his career in this field is still in its early stages, he sees every task as an opportunity to learn. It is exactly this learning process that motivates him. His goal is to quickly and thoroughly familiarize himself with MIXACO’s broad and customer-oriented product portfolio. He is aided in this not only by his ambition but also by the close support he receives from his team.
A good start makes all the difference
What Sven particularly appreciates about MIXACO is the work environment. For him, it’s clear: the better the environment, the more enjoyable the work is. Even tasks that might initially seem rather monotonous can be experienced quite differently in a good environment. That’s exactly what he experienced when he started at MIXACO. He has particularly fond memories of his first week at the company. Although he had previously known MIXACO only by name, it felt familiar after just a few days. Openness, a willingness to help, and many friendly conversations quickly turned a new workplace into a place where he felt welcome.
Balance Through Activity and Responsibility
Outside of work, variety is also very important to Sven. He enjoys being on the go and is very active. A large part of his free time is devoted to volunteer work and taking on responsibilities: with the volunteer fire department, with the DLRG as a lifeguard and coach, and, during the summer months, at shooting festivals and regional events.
It is precisely from these areas that he draws a great deal for his day-to-day work. A willingness to help, precision, and a structured approach, both in calm and stressful situations, are indispensable there. It is exactly this mindset that also helps him in his career. At the same time, he consciously sets aside time for rest and relaxation, for example, on Sundays with his girlfriend, at the thermal baths, in a saltwater pool, or by the water on warm days. Visits to the stadium with friends and family are also part of his way of unwinding.
More Than Just a Job
Being part of the MIXACO team means a lot to Sven. He says he looks forward to going to work every day. For him, it feels less like a mere professional obligation and more like a passion and a source of personal motivation. It is precisely this attitude that makes it clear why he is so motivated in his work at MIXACO.
