Behind the Mixer – Meet Michael

Technology, teamwork, and a cheerful attitude
Anyone who works with Michael quickly realizes that he brings not only technical expertise to the table, but also a healthy dose of good humor. Open, helpful, and always up for a laugh. That’s probably the best way to describe his day-to-day work.
And there’s one thing that’s absolutely essential: music. He can’t do much without his “Radio Bollerwagen.” It’s precisely these little things that make the day easier and set the tone for the team.
Arrived where it fits
His journey to MIXACO began right after he finished his apprenticeship. The deciding factor was a colleague who recommended the company to him. What started out as a simple recommendation among friends quickly turned into a firm decision.
Right from our first meeting, it was clear that something here was different: openness, honesty, and a straightforward way of interacting with one another. Not just within the team, but even during the job interview.
For Michael, that was exactly what made the difference. Knowing what he was getting into, while at the same time feeling welcome.
From installation to commissioning
Today, Michael works as an electronics technician at MIXACO and also helps out in the service department. His daily work is varied and involves a wide range of tasks.
He handles the setup and wiring of the machines, oversees acceptance testing, and ensures that everything works reliably in the end. At the same time, he keeps track of operations in the electrical workshop and supports the team wherever he is needed.
He particularly enjoys working on the machines alongside his colleagues. When individual components are gradually assembled into a functioning system, technology becomes tangible.
One of the highlights for him is commissioning projects at the customer’s site. That’s where you see how everything works together, and you’re always learning something new.

When Work Becomes an Experience
Some of these assignments have also taken him abroad. Spending several weeks in the U.S. and China not only gave him new insights into projects and processes, but also offered him the chance to explore new places.
It’s experiences like these that really make a difference to him. They show just how varied the job is and how much you can learn while on the road.
A team that brings people together
What Michael particularly appreciates about MIXACO is the team spirit. The way people interact with one another is straightforward, honest, and characterized by mutual support.
Whether it’s during the workday, at trade shows, or at joint events, the focus is always on the sense of accomplishment that comes from working together. To him, it often feels as though he’s not just spending the day with coworkers, but with friends.
Commitment outside of work
Even after work, Michael stays active. For many years, he has volunteered with the THW in Balve. It’s a role that requires responsibility, team spirit, and reliability.
At the same time, he also appreciates the quieter moments. Whether at the fair or just at home. For him, balance is just as important as physical activity and hard work.

Getting through the day with the right attitude
Ultimately, it is a simple mindset that shapes his daily life: starting the day with a smile and ending it the same way. It is an attitude that is not only important to him, but also has a positive impact on those around him.
More than just a job
For Michael, MIXACO is more than just a job. It’s a place where you feel at home, grow together, and share successes. It’s an environment where work, teamwork, and personal development come together.
And that’s exactly what makes all the difference to him.
