Behind the Mixer – Meet Alina

Sales with energy, determination, and team spirit
My name is Alina, and I’ve been part of the MIXACO team since May 2022. If I had to describe myself, I’d say I’m open-minded, determined, and sometimes a bit of a perfectionist. I love trying new things, I’m very outgoing, and I’m always up for a good time. At the same time, I pursue my goals with complete dedication. Perhaps this very mix is the perfect foundation for my role in sales.
From studying to sales
After graduating from high school in 2018, I moved to Dortmund and studied International Business. A particular highlight was my semester abroad at ESSEC Business School near Paris. At the same time, I worked as a student trainee in the Strategic Pricing department at Viega. There, I learned a great deal about pricing and organizational structures.
After completing my bachelor’s degree, I began a distance learning program to earn a Master of International Management. At the same time, I realized that I wanted to work in sales long-term. Since there was no opportunity to switch to this field at my employer at the time, I decided to change career paths. From the very beginning, MIXACO struck me as an open and supportive company. Even though that meant switching to a part-time degree program and taking on an additional workload, it was the right decision.

Take responsibility and grow
I started out in internal sales. Since January 2025, I have been heading up the internal sales and marketing departments, and I am also personally responsible for sales in Scandinavia and parts of Eastern Europe. In addition, I coordinate communication with our branch in the U.S. for projects outside the heating and cooling mixer and PVC applications sectors.
My day-to-day work is varied. I coordinate projects, monitor quotes and orders, coordinate marketing initiatives, and actively engage with customers. I find customer meetings particularly fulfilling, whether online, at the customer’s site, or here at our technical center. Developing solutions together and, ideally, securing the order in the end is a special moment every single time.
My first trip to the U.S. in May 2024 to the NPE Show in Orlando and to MIXACO USA remains unforgettable. Traveling alone and getting this opportunity was a huge personal step for me. Equally special was the sale of our Infinity mixer as a prototype. When the order came in, it was a moment I will never forget.
Energy through movement and community
When I’m not working, I’m usually on the go. Several times a week, I go to the gym for a mix of strength training and cardio. For me, exercise is the best way to relieve stress and recharge my batteries. Giving it my all with the music blasting and feeling completely exhausted but happy afterward is an indescribable feeling.
I’m also active in the marching band and out and about on weekends during Carnival season. As a true country girl, I can’t miss out on the local shooting festivals and community activities, of course. In the summer, I’m drawn outdoors to hike, jog, or bike with friends. Traveling is another big passion of mine. A road trip along the U.S. West Coast, New York, or Australia are at the top of my list.

More than just an employer
To me, MIXACO is more than just a company. The team—and especially my closest colleagues—make the work something special. It feels like a community of family and friends who tackle challenges together and support one another.
We all work toward a common goal: the company’s success and satisfied customers. This sense of unity at MIXACO is evident not only in our day-to-day work but also at events like the summer party or the company run.
When your work is enjoyable, you can rely on your team, and you feel comfortable every day, then it’s more than just a job. That’s exactly what MIXACO means to me.
