Behind the Mixer – Andre

Service delivered with passion and a commitment to ensuring that everything comes together perfectly in the end
Anyone who sees Andre at work quickly realizes that calmness, humor, and determination are not mutually exclusive. He has been part of the MIXACO team since August 2023 and works as an industrial mechanic in the service department. There, he combines technical expertise with direct customer contact and a clear standard for his work: For him, a task is only complete when the solution works reliably and the customer is truly satisfied.
Andre remains calm even when things don’t go according to plan. In the service department in particular, flexibility, quick thinking, and a solution-oriented approach are crucial. He doesn’t view challenges as obstacles, but rather as tasks to be solved together.
From the Automotive Trade to International Machinery Service
His career began with an apprenticeship as an automotive mechatronics technician. Andre then worked for twelve years at a stamping plant, where he not only gained extensive hands-on experience but also took on the responsibility of serving as a trainer.
He first heard about MIXACO from a former colleague who had joined the company before him. His colleague was convinced that the varied work would be a good fit for Andre and he turned out to be right.
Even during the application process, Andre had a positive feeling about the company. He was particularly struck by the respectful and straightforward interaction on an equal footing. The informal use of “you,” the quick scheduling of appointments, and the open atmosphere gave him the impression right from the start that it wasn’t just his professional qualifications that mattered here, but also the person behind them.

Between the assembly hall and the customer’s facility
Andres’s day-to-day work is as varied as the machines and projects he oversees. On the one hand, he helps assemble MIXACO mixers and is therefore familiar with many technical details of the manufacturing process. On the other hand, he travels worldwide on service calls to install, commission, and adjust systems, or to resolve technical challenges directly at the customer’s site.
It is precisely this combination that makes his work particularly exciting for him. His knowledge of mechanical engineering helps him quickly assess situations on-site and develop solutions that not only work in the short term but also support the customer’s processes in the long run.
Customers often have specific requirements. Sometimes additional questions don’t arise until during installation or commissioning. In such cases, it’s important to respond flexibly, assess the information correctly, and work with all parties involved to find a reliable solution.
“For me, a project isn’t considered successfully completed until the customer is completely satisfied.”
This expectation is a major source of motivation for Andre. Of course, he’s pleased to receive praise from customers or his supervisor but the trust placed in him at MIXACO is just as important to him.
Solutions are developed as a team
Even though Andre takes on a lot of responsibility during his assignments, for him, service is always a team effort. On challenging projects, colleagues work closely together, share their experiences, and support one another in troubleshooting and developing solutions.
So far, the team has always managed to resolve even difficult situations in a way that leaves the customer satisfied in the end. For Andre, this is exactly what demonstrates the strength of collaboration at MIXACO: Everyone contributes their knowledge, and together they work on a task until the system is running reliably.

International Assignments That Bring People Together
Shortly after joining MIXACO, Andre was sent on a service assignment to the Netherlands. This intensive experience showed him early on just how varied and challenging international service work can be.
He also has particularly fond memories of a project in Indonesia. Together with two colleagues, who are now also his personal friends, he traveled halfway around the world without knowing exactly what situations he would encounter there.
It is precisely these kinds of missions that create special experiences. You work under unfamiliar conditions, have to make decisions together, and can rely on one another. This not only strengthens technical cooperation but also builds personal bonds.
Peace and Renewed Energy by the Water
Outside of work, Andre is first and foremost a father of two children. Spending time with them is especially important to him and provides him with the balance he needs to cope with demanding service assignments and travel.
He also finds peace while fishing. By the water, he can unwind, clear his head, and recharge. Some ideas come to him spontaneously, while others take shape later during quiet moments at home.
His ability to assess people and situations well also helps him in his day-to-day work. Especially when dealing directly with customers, it’s important to listen attentively, understand expectations, and respond appropriately to different personalities and situations.
More Than Just a Job
Before Andre joined MIXACO, he could hardly have imagined being away from home for several days or even weeks at a time. At his previous employers, this kind of flexibility would have been out of the question for him.
At MIXACO, things are different. The trust, the varied tasks, and the strong team spirit ensure that he is happy to contribute and take on responsibility. He sees great potential in the company and wants to play an active role in supporting customers worldwide with reliable solutions.
As a result, MIXACO has become an important part of his life – professionally, personally, and as a team he can rely on even when an assignment becomes particularly challenging.
