Functionality. The perfect vortex.
For over 40 years, this type of mixer, which was invented by MIXACO, has been used in many different applications, such as mixing powder coatings, masterbatches, toners (pre- and ready-mixes), color concentrates, additives and many others.
In the Vortex™ container mixer, the rotation creates a mixing vortex. The rotation of the mixing tools transports the raw materials radially up the side walls – then the mixed material falls back down the center by gravity.
Control. Safe, efficient and economical.
The control of the Vortex™ container mixer is based on a Siemens S7 PLC and meets today’s requirements for safety, efficiency and economy. The development and programming of the control system from a single source ensures optimum integration of the mixer components. Alternatively, it is also possible to use Allen-Bradley components (incl. Panelview operating unit).
The control can also be designed according to UL / NEMA. In addition, the control can be equipped with an interface for data exchange to a higher-level control.
Siemens TP700
Up to 99 mixing programs, each with ten working steps, can be created in tabular form via the TP700 touch control panel. Data acquisition and storage of the measured values takes place.
Allen Bradley
Control to UL / NEMA standards with an Allen Bradley PLC and Panelview control panel is also possible.
Mixing positions. Basic, mixing and cleaning position in detail.
In the basic position the mixer is loaded, the container is correctly positioned to the mixing head and secured for the lifting process.
The tilting process via the motorized drives by 180° into the mixing position can only take place when the mixing container is securely engaged.
As soon as the container together with the mixing head reaches the mixing position after a 180° swivel, the mixing process is started.
In cleaning mode and cleaning position, the mixing head can be cleaned quickly and easily – the mixing tools can be dismantled easily and without great effort.

- Dust extraction: Extraction device at the mixing head, which extracts the fine dust produced in the mixing vessel after the mixing process.
